Will oil execs sabotage recovery efforts?

An Associated Press article last week said the unemployment rate has dropped to 8.3%, the lowest in the last three years because of a significant job hiring surge - 243,000 jobs in January alone.
I’ve listened carefully as reports of the auto industry gaining new strength everyday and auto sales at all time highs continue. The same is true in the housing market, though still very slow, creeping upwards day by day.
I wonder how high oil execs will now push gasoline prices to try and sabotage the progress?  Do they really hate Obama that much that they will destroy the progress of our economy to push him out of office? That is what it seems to me what they want to do. The best place to really hit all Americans and hurt them in  their pocket books, and the best place to do this is at the gas pumps as farmers get ready for spring planting and all the fuel they must have for their equipment. THEY ARE PLANTING, I MIGHT ADD, SO THAT THEY MIGHT FEED ALL OF THE REST OF US, INCLUDING GREEDY OIL EXECS!
I for one am really tired of just getting ahead a little bit and then go to the pump and find gas prices soaring again for which there really is no excuse except the latest one made up by one of these “wart hog” execs.
I’m all for “Occupy Wall Street” and if there was a local organization I would be the first to join it. Oil companies and every corporate executive in this nation should be punished the same way they punish those working for them, take money out of their pocket and put it into the hands of those who need it.
There is no greater example of corporate greed than the oil companies. The government needs to act, and act now. Regulations need to be placed on these criminals and to the degree that it really makes a difference.
I think the Republican party should be ashamed that they are about to offer one of these tycoons (he’s not an oil exec, he just likes firing people and doesn’t care a whole lot about the very poor in this country) as their nomination for President of our nation. In my opinion Mitt Romney ought to be banned off-shore with his money. I wouldn’t vote for him if he were the only name on the ballot.
I also read today that in the State of California, an extra $7,000 rebate is being offered on new cars that run on electricity. This is in addition to the Federal Government one of $8,000. That would place the Chevrolet Volt that I recently test drove down in the range of about $23,000.00, not too bad considering all things. Maybe it’s time to invest in one by making a trip to California, driving one home and paying the sales tax in Minnesota. Sounds better all the time?
Something has to be done to help middle America in the battle against these giant oil companies. When we hear of their billion dollar profits it is an outrage, even BP after they nearly destroyed an entire city and several states just a couple years back are now racking up huge billion dollar profits. How awful is that?
I say it is time for the American people and the government to stand up against these giants and say NO MORE! But then again they are the major layers when it comes to lobbyists in Washington D.C., along with pharmaceuticals. Do they make contributions to PAC Committees? I don’t know, ask Mitt Romney.
