Justina Ebeling, 89, died on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home in St. James, Minnesota.

    Justina Ebeling, 89, died on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home in St. James, Minnesota.
    A private family service was held. Family and friends are invited to gather with her family on Friday, May 21 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at her home at 908 9th Street South in St. James.
    Justina Anna Dick was born on October 11, 1920 to Abram B. and Susan (Heppner) Dick in Mt. Lake, Minnesota. After graduating from Mt. Lake High School she was employed as the Secretary to the Superintendent of Mt. Lake Schools. Upon completion of her studies at the Minneapolis Business College in Minneapolis, she returned to work as the news editor of the Mountain Lake Observer for two years. She then worked full and part-time for the St. James newspapers.
    On June 25, 1949 she married Mayo J. Ebeling June 25, 1949 at her parent’s home in Mt. Lake. They made their home in St. James. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Mt. Lake and served as their organist.
    Survivors include her daughter, Susan and Larry Anderson of rural St. James, MN; son, Paul and Phyllis Ebeling of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Matthew Anderson and Katrin Erdmann of St. Paul, MN, Karl and Sarah Anderson of Lake Crystal, MN, Emily and Jacob Birkholz of Iowa City, IA and Andrew Anderson and special friend Kaitlin Buckley of St. Louis Park, MN; six great-grandchildren, Ethan and Mason Anderson; Haley, Dylan, Macy and Owen Birkholz; cousins; and good friends Larry and Karen Curry.
    Justina was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
