  •     Frances Hackett, 93, of St. James died on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James.
        Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in St. James.
        Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.
        Frances “Fran” loved life, her family, her friends, her church, where she was a member of Catholic Daughters and the community she lived in for more than 70 years. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her home. She was an avid bridge player, liked to play golf, wear hats and tend her rose garden. She loved to travel to visit family and friends. Her travels took her throughout the United States, and to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
        Fran participated in life fully and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
        Survivors include her children, Mary and Sid Mirhoseini of Germantown, WI, Kathleen and Robert Lambert of River Falls, WI, John “Tom” and Linda Hackett of St. James, MN, Jerry and Nancy Hackett of Harlowton, MT and David and Junko Hackett of Tokyo, Japan; sister, Birdell Porter of Vancouver, WA; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
        Frances Hackett was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jiggs” Hackett; son, Richard Patrick Hackett; grandsons, Kevin Lambert and John Thomas Hackett; brother; Warren “Bud” Kruck.
