Laurie Buesing, 55, of North Mankato, formerly of St. James died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral services were held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in St. James with Reverend Ken Bowman officiating. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 13, 2012 for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Laurie Panzer was born on August 29, 1956 to Harold and Ardelle (Smith) Panzer. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church. She graduated in 1975 from St. James High School.
On October 2, 1976 she was united in marriage to Vance Stuehrenberg and later divorced. On August 27, 1998 she married Richard Buesing. The couple have resided in North Mankato where she worked as a cashier supervisor at Randalls and was a housewife.
Laurie had an easy smile, lively chatter and a friend to all who met her.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Buesing of North Mankato, MN; two children, Jennifer (Jamie) Connor of St. Peter, MN and Jason Stuehrenberg of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Hadley and Drew; mother and step-father, Ardelle Panzer and Floyd Wilkening of St. James, MN; step-sisters, Lisa (Bill) Lozito, Amy (Tom) Pederson and Susan (Mark) Weibel; step-brother, Allan Wilkening; step-nieces; step-nephews; and many special cousins.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Harold Panzer; brother, David Panzer; and her grandparents.
