Norman Lloyd Eklund, 84, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died April 14, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Como Park Lutheran Church, 1376 Hoyt Ave. W, St. Paul, MN 55108. Norman was born in St. James and lived in White Bear Lake for 58 years. He was a devoted husband, father and “Bop Bop” to his granddaughters. Norm loved and protected his family and cherished every moment with them. He set a positive example of faith, values and commitment to his children and grandchildren and his home was a place where all were welcomed and loved.
Norm is survived by his children, Lori Eklund Quello of Shoreview and Kari Eklund Logan of Falcon Heights; son-in-law, Ian R. Logan; granddaughters, Kristina Quello and Britt Logan; brother-in-law, Rev. Edwin W. Swenson and wife Patricia of Long Mont, Colo.; beloved nephews, Erik and Kent; and nieces, Sara, Sally, Sue, Marian, Kristin, Linda, Julie and Pam; and many special grandnieces and nephews.
Norm was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile (Swenson); parents, Walter and Lydia (Schweppe) Eklund; and brother, Don Eklund.
