Susan Kay “Susie” Frederickson left this world and went home peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 31, 2012 at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud after a long, courageous, hard fought battle with breast cancer.
A Celebration of Life of will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Mankato. Burial will be held at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Susan Kay was born in St. James to Jan and Nancy Frederickson on August 1, 1962. Susan was baptized in St. James. She attended Fairmont High School and was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. She was baptized into the LDS church in April 2010. Susan resided in Owatonna for many years until March of this year when she moved to St. Cloud to be closer to family. Susan greatly enjoyed art, music and poetry. She especially enjoyed chatting and spending time with her family. Susie had a very kind heart and a generous, loving nature and will be deeply missed by many.
Susie is survived by her mother, Nancy Frederickson of St. Cloud; sisters: Julie Christensen of St. James, Sandra Cook (Chris) of St. Cloud, Mary Frederickson of Clinton, Utah and brother, David Frederickson of St. James; nephews: Nathan Zender (Sadie), John Zender (Laura), Zachary Hovey-Cook, Dennis Cook, and Aidan Zender; nieces: Hannah Christensen, Addy Frederickson, and Eleanor Zender; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Susie was preceded in death by her father, Jan Frederickson; grandparents, Omar and Alta Frederickson; maternal grandparents, Helen Dickinson Anderson, Elliot Dickinson and Lawrence Anderson.
