  • NOTICE OF FILING DATES FOR ELECTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD  INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 840  ST.JAMES PUBLIC SCHOOL  STATE OF MINNESOTA
    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for school board member of Independent School District No. 840 shall begin on July 31, 2012, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 14th, 2012.
    The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.  At that election, three (3) members will be elected for four (4) years each.
    Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the election clerk at the St. James Public School District office, which is located at 600 Armstrong Blvd. South, St. James, MN.  The filing fee for this office is $2.
    A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election.
    The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the election clerk, and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 14th, 2012.

    BAKERY BIDS
    The Board of Education of the Butterfield-Odin Public School, District #836 at Butterfield MN will receive bids on bread and bakery products to be delivered to the Butterfield-Odin cafeteria for the 2012-13 school year. Bids will be received until 3 p.m. on Monday, August 20th.

    ASSIGNING ZONING DESIGNATION FOR PROPOSED ANNEXED PARCEL
    WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 26, 2012, to review the annexation os a 1.1 acre parcel of land currently owned by Janice and LeRoy Hamilton located at 225 County Road 55 legally described as:

    1. The Zoning designation of the above referenced parcel shall be designated as “R-1 One and Two Family Residential District,” and,
    2. Upon official annexation the property shall be connected to all City utilities within 120 days; and,
    3. The official city map shall be updated to reflect said annexation.
