Steve White may not look all that old but, putting the religious aspect aside, soon enough, he’ll be carrying a lot of power, over at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He is, after all, the school’s new principal, replacing Phil Haefner.
“I went to college at Martin Luther College in New Ulm,” said White. “And when I graduated, I put myself up for what’s called “A Call,” and because St. Paul’s had an opening, they went to the college and said that they needed somebody; and so, through that process, St. Paul’s called me through Martin Luther College.”
Not only will White be the school’s principal, but he’ll also have a more hands-on opportunity to work with the children as a fifth-grade teacher.
With all of that in store for this young educator, he seems rather calm, while others might be pulling their hair out with anxiety or second-guessing their decision to take on such a large endeavor.
“Right now, I just have a ‘bring-it-on’ attitude,” explained White. “I feel like I can do it...”
