    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for school board member of Independent School District No. 840 shall begin on July 31, 2012, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 14th, 2012.
    The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.  At that election, three (3) members will be elected for four (4) years each.
    Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the election clerk at the St. James Public School District office, which is located at 600 Armstrong Blvd. South, St. James, MN.  The filing fee for this office is $2.
    A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election.
    The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the election clerk, and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 14th, 2012.

    BAKERY BIDS
    The Board of Education of the Butterfield-Odin Public School, District #836 at Butterfield MN will receive bids on bread and bakery products to be delivered to the Butterfield-Odin cafeteria for the 2012-13 school year. Bids will be received until 3 p.m. on Monday, August 20th.
    Bids should be addressed to the BUTTERFIELD-ODIN PUBLIC SCHOOL, P.O. BOX 189 - 440 HUBBARD AVE., BUTTERFIELD, MN  561120-0189.
    The envelope should be marked “Bakery Bid” in the lower left corner of the front of the sealed envelope containing your bid.

    Sandwich bread – white/1 ½ lb. loaf
    Bread – wholegrain, white & wheat/20 oz.

    Notice is given that an application for informal probate of the Decedent’s Will, dated July 30, 2001, and (“Will”), has been filed with the Registrar. The application has been granted.
    Page 3 of 4 - Notice is also given that the Registrar has informally appointed Ellis K. Jones, whose address is 2614 Hauer Trail, Shakopee, MN 55379, as personal representative of the Estate of the Decedent. Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Unless objections are filed with the Court (pursuant to Minn. Stat. 524.3-607) and the Court otherwise orders, the personal representative has full power to administer the Estate, including, after 30 days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease or distribute real estate.
    Any objections to the probate of the Will or appointment of the Personal Representative must be filed with this Court and will be heard by the Court after the filing of an appropriate petition and proper notice of hearing.
    Notice is also given that (subject to Minn. Stat. 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.
    A charitable beneficiary may request notice of the probate proceedings be given to the Attorney General pursuant to Minn. Stat. 501B.41, subd. 5.
