SJ City Tennis Championship results

    The resurfaced tennis courts at St. James High School have been getting a good workout this summer as many tennis competitions have been held there.  

    The latest competitive event was the Armour Eckrich St. James City Tennis Championship with results being wrapped up over the past couple of  weeks (weather delays stretched out some of the matches).  

    In the 16 and over singles competition the winers (males) were:

1st - Matt Jurgens

2nd - Matt Tucholke

3rd - Brandon Pearson

4th - Connor Olson

1st - Shane Olson

2nd - Connor Engel

3rd - Adrian Torres

    In the 16 and over singles competition the winners   (females) were:

1st - Abby Frederickson

2nd - Lorena Hernandez

3rd - Julia Boeve

4th - (tie) Cassidy Chapek

and Jovanna Boeve

    The competition was tough, as there was a three  tie for first place in the Armour Eckrich 2012 St. James All Ages Davis Team Tennis Tournament  results. The scores and the team members were:

    There was also good competition in the Armour Eckrich St. James City Tennis Championship  Mixed Doubles part of the tournament. That competition wrapped up Tuesday night because of rain delays last week.
