During the month of October, the St. James Municipal Liquor Store is partnering with Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association(MMBA) and MillerCoors to raise donations for the Watonwan County Food Shelf. Manager Janice Stoesz says this is the store’s fifth year participating in the event.
The project is sponsored by MMBA along with MillerCoors and offers the possibility a store will receive an additional $1000 donation if they raise the most in food poundage gathered during the Oct. 1-31 period.
The store is seeking as many donations as possible of non-perishable foods and cash donations. A cash donation will be worth $1 per pound. An additional prize of $100 will also be available in a drawing amongst the members of MMBA.
The receptacle for non-perishable goods and donations will be received at the St. James Liquor Store. This is a good time to visit St. James Liquor Store as you start thinking about special beverages for the coming holidays.
