The St. James Sertoma Club will be holding a benefit luncheon and silent auction on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. James American Legion building.
The lunch is a benefit fundraiser for Brittany Carlson, daughter of Darwin and Sabrina Carlson. She is a sixth grader in St. James who will not continue hearing without replacing or repairing her cochlear implants and hearing aids.
“A total replacement costs about six thousand dollars and comes with a five year full warranty” said Sabrina Carlson. “If we can’t raise six thousand, then any money we raise will go toward repairs.”
St. James Sertoma Club along with friends and family, with supplemental funds provided by Watonwan County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans chapter 31214 will be serving hot chicken sandwiches, potatoes, beans, bars and beverages and are asking for a free will donation to help Brittany.
To donate items for the silent auction, the Sertoma Club asks that you call Shirley Anderson at 507-375-7697.
