  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and a perfect time to shed light on the issue of women’s health. To help educate the community about this important topic, Mayo Clinic Health System in St. James is hosting a community health education forum on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the main conference room at the medical center.
Three health care professionals will present at the forum. Jennifer Langbehn, D.O., will talk about breast cancer and general women’s health; Tammy Manwarren, imaging technologist, will discuss self-exams; and Jessica Nachreiner, imaging manager, will present on the services available to patients in St. James and the surrounding area.
“The community forum is a great opportunity for women to learn about ways they can be healthier,” says Dr. Langbehn. “We hope all attendees leave feeling like they have a better understanding of their health. This event reinforces our commitment to the health care and education of St. James and surrounding communities.”
Snacks and refreshments will be provided, and various giveaways will be available. Visitors should enter through the main clinic entrance. For more information on the community forum, please call 507-375-8602.
