Delores A. Wolle, 76 of St. James died on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society-Pleasantview, St. James. Funeral services for Delores will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church-South Branch with Rev. Matthew Rusert officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman and one hour before the services in the church.
Delores Ann Wiese was born on December 28, 1935 in Fairmont to John “Jack” Henry and Mabel Mae (Eckmann) Wiese. She was baptized December 29, 1935 and confirmed April 10, 1949. Delores graduated from Truman High School in 1953. On April 25, 1954 Delores was united in marriage to Wilbur Lange at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. Wilbur died on July 26, 1998. Delores married Gordon Wolle on April 24, 2000 at St. John’s Lutheran Church-South Branch. Gordon died on February 17, 2010. Delores was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-South Branch where she also was involved with Ladies Aid. She was a homemaker and worked as an election judge for the township. Delores also worked for the Truman and St. James nursing homes. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed quilting, sewing, decorating and flower gardening. Delores loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Delores is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Jolene (Mike) White, Plainfield, Iowa, Dawn (Scott) Halverson, Truman, Ramona (Steve) Hansen, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Karla (Mitch) Doll, St. James; 8 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren and 9 Wolle step children and their families.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
