Plaza Fiesta, on main street in downtown Madelia is owned and operated by Krystal Spinler.
She is working to bring new, authentic and homemade items to the menu – recently spending two weeks in Mexico where she brought back decorations for Plaza Fiesta to dress it in the traditional red, green and white of Mexico.
“Molcajete fiesta is a popular dish in Mexico that we’ve started serving,” says Spinler. “It’s pretty much everything we make all thrown into one; a big lava rock bowl with grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, cactus, pork, salsa and more.”
The food in Plaza Fiesta is created by what Spinler describes as one big family. It seems everyone is related somehow at the restaurant – even the F-I-E-S-T-A in Plaza Fiesta is symbolic of the workers, as each letter represents someone significant to the restaurant.
“I’m here all day, and they’re here all day, and we just love coming in and doing what we love,” says Spinler. “I like everything about working here – seeing all the guests and talking with them – there is something different every day.”
Along with their lunch specials served daily, Plaza Fiesta offers drink specials like Thursday Margarita Night, any flavor margaritas, 18 oz. for just $3.99, and a daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Plaza Fiesta is a family-based restaurant that invites anyone who wants a delicious and authentic Mexican meal to stop on by.
