    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Election will be held in the Election Precinct at: Chuck Spaeth Ford, 900 Hwy. 4 S, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085, on Tuesday, the sixth (6th) day of November, 2012, at which the polls will be open from the hour of eight (8) o’clock a.m. to the hour of eight (8) o’clock p.m. for the purpose of electing candidates for the following offices: Federal, State, Constitutional Amendments, County offices, School District offices, Judicial and Legislative offices.
    NOTICE OF PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST
    Albin Township will test the electronic voting machine to be used for the vote tabulation in the General Election to be held on November 6, 2012, on November 1, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. This test will be conducted at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Albin Township. The public is invited to attend.

    NOTICE OF PUBLIC TEST OF VOTING SYSTEMS
    Notice is hereby given that a public test of the Optical Scan Voting System and Voter Assistance Voting System for the following precincts will be held at the Watonwan County Human Services Building located at 715 Second Avenue South in St. James, MN at 3:30 p.m. on November 2, 2012: Fieldon Township,  City of Lewisville, City of  Madelia, Madelia Township, City of St. James, St. James Township, South Branch Township.
    The test will be conducted by two election judges from each precinct and is open to the public, political party representatives, candidates and the press.

    NOTICE OF EXTENDED HOUR FOR ABSENTEE VOTING
    The Watonwan County Auditor’s Office will be open on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. in order to allow voters unable to vote in the State General Election on Election Day, November 6, 2012 in their respective polling places to vote by absentee ballot. Voters can also vote absentee in the Auditor’s Office during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by mail by calling the Auditor’s office at (507) 375-1210 until Monday, Nov. 5 at 5:00 P.M.

    The following precincts are voting by mail ballot, voters registered 21 days prior to the election will be mailed a ballot, unregistered voters may vote at the Watonwan County Auditor’s office during regular business hours 8:00 A.M. to Noon and 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.) prior to Election Day and from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Election Day in the Watonwan County Courthouse, 710 Second Avenue South, St. James, MN: Townships of Adrian, Long Lake, Nelson, Riverdale and Rosendale and the Cities of LaSalle and Ormsby.

    There are only two precincts, which have St. James School District residents.  They are the City of Ormsby, which is a mail ballot precinct and the township of Galena, and their polling place is Galena Town Hall located at 2299 110th Avenue, Ormsby and their voting hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  
    BROWN COUNTY
    There are only two precincts which have St. James School District residents.  They are Lake Hanska Township, which their polling place is Hanska Community Center located at 201 2nd St. E, Hanska, MN and their voting hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The second is Albin Township, which their polling place is Chuck Spaeth Ford, 900 Highway 4 S, Sleepy Eye, MN and their voting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election.  An unregistered voter may register to vote at the polling place on election day.

    NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE
