This November 24th is Small Business Saturday, a day to celebrate and support the local small businesses that boost the economy and invigorates neighborhoods across the country.
The St. James economy is largely fuelled by small business. Business owners provide services here in St. James that are unique to this area. Small business Saturday is a great day to get out and take advantage of the merchandise St. James has to offer.
“Local businesses enrich their communities simply by existing. During the past two decades, small businesses have created 65 percent of net new jobs and for every $100 spent in locally owned, independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures,” says St. James Chamber of Commerce Director Tabitha Johnson.
So show your support by shopping small, and make this November 24th the biggest day of the year for small business.
