  • While parents were out finishing their Christmas shopping, children from St. James were enjoying a Christmas celebration at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Saturday, Dec. 15.
The members of St. Paul's evangelism committee made homemade gloves and hats to give to those children who were interested in some stylish ways to stay warm. Other members purchased the same items and donated them to the church to give to the children. On a day that was a bit dreary, a comfortable and warm stocking cap was appreciated.
The children started their day by decorating a paper bag. They were able to store all of their crafts from throughout the day in the paper bag and bring it home to show their family and friends what they created.
Children also sang Christmas carols and were given the story of Jesus in the chapel of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Other activities included a movie and hot dog lunch.
The St. Paul's evangelism committee kid's Christmas celebration is an event that has taken place for some time at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Kids from the community are given the opportunity to receive warm clothes for the summer and make some crafts while parents run errands in the morning.
