The St. James Sharing Tree project sponsored by St. James Women of Today is a success due to the many kind and generous people of St. James, businesses and organizations.
This year Sharing Tree distributed gifts to over 300 kids thanks in part to the donation from the high school students who are members of "Team Up."
"There were about 111 tags left for us to purchase," says Sarah Fast, a member of Women of Today.
Presents were distributed from Brandt Ridge to those families in need and brightened the Christmas of many local children.
No children should go without presents on Christmas Day and the Sharing Tree project is one way to ensure that they don't.
With a room full of tables packed with presents wrapped for the children and a line that extended out of the door and into the parking lot of Brandt Ridge, volunteers helped distribute presents over the weekend.
Families, fighting the cold, left with a smile knowing they had just a little more to be happy about this Christmas – and excited that there would once again be presents under the Christmas tree.
