Students were treated to a Latin lunch Dec. 12, at the Buttefield-Odin School.
Eighteen Butterfield-Odin students helped share their cultural heritage with the student body by planning and preparing an authentic Latin lunch.
Menu items included:
Molletes (baked cheesy bread with refried beans and chorizo sausage)
Pico de Gallo
Tres Leches Cake (three milk cake)
Agua de Horchata (a sweet milk-based drink with rice and cinnamon)
Latin lunch is a way to teach students about the diversity of culture and offer some fun cuisine celebrating Latin American heritage.
