Gymnasts lose SCC opener

    The Saints gymnastics team traveled to Waseca last Thursday, Jan. 3 and lost their conference opener to the Bluejays by a score of 129.650-93.100.

    SJA’s Erin Hurley was the team’s highest scorer. She scored a 30.250 to take the fifth spot in the all-around.

    Erin was third, behind two Bluejays, in the vault with an 8.400 score. She was the highest scorer for the Saints in the other three events.

    She was fourth in the bars  with a 7.300 score, sixth in the beam with a 6.900 score and sixth in the floor with a 7.650 score.  

    The Saints host New Ulm on Friday night at the St. James Armory. JV routines begin at 6 pm, with the varsity competition beginning after the completion of the JV competition.
