Riley Minich, the granddaughter of Mike Minich and Linda Minich of St. James was invited to and attended Barack Obama’s Presidential Inaugural Ball last month.
According to Riley’s grandfather Mike, she earned the invitation by being the person who volunteered the most hours in the President’s reelection effort in her town and her county.
Riley, who is 17, is a junior in high school in Fremont Ohio, which is in Sandusky County.
The long hours she put in also earned her a front row seat at a campaign speech the President gave in Ohio last fall.
Riley also got a big hug from the President as Obama worked the crowd after the speech (look for video on our facebook page).
The young volunteer also met Jill Biden, the wife of the Vice-President. Riley is the daughter of Johnathan and Cora Minich.
