The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarship packets are available. Applications are being accepted for two $500 scholarships for Madelia-area high school seniors pursuing a career in healthcare. Applicants must be accepted in an accredited associate or baccalaureate program leading to a healthcare career.
The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation has been supporting local students for many years,” said Traci Henry, president of the Foundation board. “Since 2007, more than $6,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Madelia High School students. I urge students and their parents to check out all the scholarships available on the website.”
Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic receives such wonderful support from our community; it is only fitting for the Foundation to give back through these scholarships. The Foundation also praised local donors for their generosity in establishing these scholarships.
“These donors understand that our children are our future, and if we invest in their education, we will all reap the rewards,” said Henry.
The Foundation hopes that the scholarships will inspire and encourage students to dedicate their lives to caring for others through the healthcare industry.
Applications are available at the counselor’s office at Madelia High School, at the Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic front desk, or online at www.mchospital.org. Please submit applications prior to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 22nd, 2013. If anyone has questions call the Foundation office at 507.642.5224.
