  • With all the crummy weather we’ve been having it’s hard to believe that spring sports get underway with a track meet - an indoors track meet at least - on Friday.
The Saints competed at the facilities at Minnesota State, Mankato against all but one of the teams from the SCC. Also in the indoor meet was      Blue Earth Area, Fairmont, New Ulm and St. Peter.
All of the teams are in the same boat. The January like weather has made it difficult to get any meaningful practices in.

The Saints Head Coach Scott Allen said, “The first meet is just a chance to compete.  We aren't looking to win anything, but try and get better and see where we are at in our conditioning.
“As always we are missing many student athletes due to music trips.  We aren't the only ones. It does give a chance for some of the younger kids to run and get some experience.
“There are no scores kept and places are only kept if we as coaches figure it out.  Its basically like a scrimmage in any other sport.”
