Joseph "Joe" A. Ouren, age 53 of Sartell passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sartell. Rev. Brady Finnern will officiate and burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Sartell. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church in Sartell. Joseph A. Ouren was born Sept. 23, 1959 in St. James to Arne and Lorraine (Kersch) Ouren. He graduated from St. James High School in St. James. Joe married Marsha Jurgens on May 23, 1987 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom. He worked at Ameripride Services for 23 years most recently as the Director of U.S. Operations. Joe was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and former volunteer fire fighter in Bemidji and Mankato. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching hockey and dirt track racing, traveling, particularly family vacations. His family will remember him for his sense of humor, willingness to help others, work ethic and selflessness. Joe's favorite thing was spending time with family, especially his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of Sartell; son and daughter, Jesse of Sartell and Mindy of Fargo, N.D.; granddaughter, Kaley; and sisters and brother, Mary (Terry) Kos of Rochester, Sue (Jim) Lindsay of Lilydale, Linda (John) Snell of Huron, S.D., Barb (Pat) Nosbush of Owatonna, Jerry Ouren of Perham, Kris (John) Huth of Chaska, and Theresa (Tom) Westcott of St. Paul.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and nephew, Peter Kos.
