Carol Yvonne Johnson passed away peacefully on May 1, 2013. Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother was surrounded by her many loved ones. A visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisc. on May 4, 2013 at 10 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Jim Page will officiate. Carol was born in St. James, on September 13, 1940. She attended St. James High School and spent portions of her life in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California. An active and intelligent woman, she worked in finance in her early years and later helped her husband run a successful commercial construction company in southern California. She had recently retired. Carol enjoyed her family, her many friends, nature and golf. She was also an avid reader and animal lover and will be greatly missed by her much loved dog, Tootsie. We have lost our truest friend, confidant and source of comfort.
Carol is survived by her husband, Nas Mark Johnson; children, Elizabeth Stavn (Adam), Jessica Hughes (Ron), Rebecca Stenzel; stepson, David (Lisa); sisters, Janice Heller (Donald), Gail Lehman (Ernest), Diane Kenet; brother, Gordon Jensen (Judi); grandchildren, John Paul Penrod (Kristin), Katherine Penrod, Jared Penrod (Emily), Alex Ruff, Tessa Fasick (Jake), Nicolas Hughes, Jacob Hughes, Mitchell Perzichilli (Erin); and great grandchildren, Noah Mayhew and Marcus Fasick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Frances Jensen.
