The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians held its annual Spring Refresher at the RiverCentre in downtown St. Paul on thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19, 2013.
About 400 family physicians gathered for the biggest Continuing Medical Education (CME) session for family doctors in the state of Minnesota.
Lindy Eatwell, M.D., who practices in St. James, Minn., attended the refresher. The conference gives family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students the opportunity to learn about trends caring for patients and their families.
The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians is a professional association of approximately 3,000 family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students organized to assist family physicians in providing quality medical care in Minnesota.
The MAFP is the largest medical specialty organization in Minnesota and is a state chapter of the american Academy of Family Physicians, one of the largest national medical organizations in the United States with more than 103,000 members.
