  • Last Thursday the Northside Elementary students, family and staff assembled to recognize all the students for jobs well done and give special recognition to many students for outstanding achievements.

  • There’s always a lot to celebrate about the school year that’s just ended.
        Last Thursday the Northside Elementary  students, family and staff assembled to recognize all the students for jobs well done and give special recognition to many students for outstanding achievements.
        Among the awards were the Citizenship Awards which were given to one student from each of the third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms.
        Students who won the Citizenship Award were Jackson Miest, Charles Schmidt, Maxwell Johnson, Hayden Jones, Marco Crispin, Torri Mohwinkel, Madison Brey, Edna Herrejon and  Sailor Mohlenbrock.
        Students who had perfect attendance for the year were Madison Brey, Mya Hanson, Hunter Helling, Briar Lenz, Mara Pauling, Johnathan Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez and Zoey Tierney.
        Students recognized as being on the Student Leadership Teams for 2012-2013  by grade were:
        Third grade representatives were Hayden Jones, Geovonnie Flores and Noah Anderson. The alternates were Emma Anderson, Nimsy Tobar and Kenyon Hoffman.
        Fourth grade reps were Tyler Chapin, Matty Brey, Logan Carlson and Morgan Blackstad. The alternates were Cesar Olivares and Ellie Becker.
        Fifth grade reps were Sidney Sperl, Wyatt Westcott and Daevon Anderson. The alternates were Jackson Miest, Lucas Anderson and Lucia Kulseth.
        The Presidential Physical Fitness Awards are given out to students who score at least  85% or higher on all physical fitness tests. This year’s Northside winners of this Award are:
        Grade five: Daevon Anderson, Lucia Kulseth, Norely Sanchez and Wyatt Westcott.
    Grade four:  Jordan Bergeman, Tyler Chapin, and Mya Hanson.
    Grade three: Leonel Escalante Ibarra.
    Grade two: Cooper Olson and  Addie Bowers
    Grade one: Gavyn Palmer, and Aiden Veigel.
        Designated as Math Masters were Daevon Anderson, Isaac Carstensen, Hunter Helling, Briar Lenz and
    Jaime Hernandez Portillo.
