  • St. Paul’s Lutheran Church recently held a Soccer Camp for athletes ages 5-12.
This camp took place last all of last week in the sunshine and the rain.
“Rain or shine, the parents expected us to teach soccer skills to their children,” commented Coach Kailey White.
White and her husband Steve White established this annual Soccer Camp to teach children the basic and advanced skills of the game of Soccer.

Both Steve and Kailey have played soccer at the collegiate level, so they have the skills and knowledge to accomplish this task.
Kailey White feels confident that there will be another Soccer Camp next year.
“This was the first year that we have held this Soccer Camp and we can say with confidence that we will hold it again next summer.”
The Camp entertained 33 athletes coming in from as far as Madelia.  The athletes practiced skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, juggling, as well as game situation skills.
The coaches ran drills that honed in on these skills throughout the week.  Then on the last day, they participated in competitions.  Winners received medals.
“The younger ones played one big game as a culminating event.  The older group had their own ‘World Cup’.  The team named, ‘Brazil’ won this year.”

The camp will run next summer from June 2-6 from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
The registration fee will be $10 with the option of buying a T-shirt, water bottle, and/or a soccer ball, all with the Panther’s Soccer Camp logo on it.
