At the banquet, the St. James Women of Today members voted on various awards for their chapter members.
Members of the St. James Women of Today gathered at the St. James Golf Course for their year end banquet on May 31, 2013 to celebrate the successes of the past year.
Awards received from the Minnesota Women of Today Annual Convention included: Donna Barrett – Key Woman of the MNWT; Jaine Firstbrook – State Delegate Medallion; Sue Renz – District Director Medallion & bronze key award for her year –end evaluation; Melissa Schiller – Presidential Pin;”Fired-Up” District Program Manager – Brenda Nommensen; and the St. James chapter received a “Project of the Trimester” Award for their Valentine Cupcake/Song Gram project.
At the banquet, the St. James Women of Today members voted on various awards for their chapter members. Sarah Fast was chosen as Outstanding Member of the Year; Jaine Firstbrook as Local Program Manager of the year; and the Christmas Sharing Tree as Project of the Year.
St. James Women of Today are always looking for more members to share in the fun and the friendship and the service our chapter provides to the area and throughout Minnesota. They meet at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Brandt Ridge Community Room, 1102 2nd St. S, in St. James.
The next event is a cookout and campfire at Donna Barrett’s home, 1027 7th St. S., at 7 p.m., to celebrate the date the Women of Today was founded. For more information contact Sue at 375-3395.
