Linda Kluver, age 65, of Portland, Ore., formerly of St. James, died in Portland on June 13, 2013. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James. Visitation will be one hour before services on Saturday. You may send the family condolences online at www.sturmfh.com. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Linda K Kluver was born May 23, 1948 in Lake Crystal to Stan and Winifred Kluver. Linda moved to Oregon in 1976, after attending Bemidji State from 1966-68 and then graduating from the U of M, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Once moving to Oregon Linda worked for the employment office in Eugene for eight years. She then moved to Portland where she worked at Clackamas County as a job developer/vocational counselor, until opening her own business called Kluvers Kustom Kares. She enjoyed reading, sewing, spending time in her garden, talking with friends, but most importantly the time she spent with her cats. She was a very caring, giving and a compassionate person who touched many lives. She is survived by brother Darrell; sister-in-law Sandy; step-sisters Sharon and Deeanna; three nieces, Melissa, Sadie and Cheyanne; nephew, Dustin, and many dear friends. Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Winnie; father, Stan; step-father, Roy; and several aunts and uncles.
