There’s something new and interesting at the St. James Farmers Market this year. On Saturdays the Farmers Market is having professionally trained chefs cook up sumptuous dishes made from produce provided by the local growers. Last Saturday Chef Kirsten Faldet, pictured here, had three special gourmet dishes including a delicious veggie lasagna. If you’ve been wondering what to do with the vegetables sold at the Farmers Market, Saturday mornings at the St. James Farmers Market might provide you with some delicious recipes and some great free samples. Last Saturday’s food was so good people bought the leftovers at the end of the demonstration. The Farmers Market is open from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 4 pm at the downtown city park.
