Nellie Wright is a life long resident of the St. James area and was recently diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called TTP.
The blood disorder will require ongoing medical treatment. In order to curb the cost for Nellie The Watonwan County Thrivent Chapter 31214 will be holding a benefit brunch and silent auction for Nellie beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 until 1 p.m. Sunday.
The benefit brunch will be held at the American Legion in St. James. On the menu for the brunch is ham, scrambled eggs, escaloped potatoes, breakfast pastries, milk and coffee.
The brunch will be a free will donation brunch and everyone is welcome to join in the fun for Nellie. Monetary donations may be made out to Thrivent Branch 31214 and sent to Kathy Rathman at 515 First St. N, St. James.
