July 29 and July 30, 15 eager kids along with seven youth counselors from across Watonwan County gathered under the trees for the annual Voss Park Overnight Camp.
Once everyone was settled in, disguises were handed out and the fun could begin. There was plenty of fun had with the creation of book safes, mystery animal tracks, and fingerprints. And the kids had a real splash down at the lake side with some water fun and canoeing.
New games were learned, and new songs were sung, and they even tried some new foods.
The Camp ended with a pot luck supper and the campers got a chance to show off some of the things they learned, and the fun crafts they made.
Next year is sure to have many returners and hopefully some more kids ready to have a blast.
