Wednesday, Sept. 11 - Attorney Margaret Koberoski presents: Estate Planning: Creating a Legacy through Charitable Gifts.
Charitable bequests and lifetime gifts can be the most carefully considered part of an estate plan. Through planned giving, an individual can leave a legacy within their community that will benefit future generations. The tax benefits of charitable gifts are also important considerations.
Margaret Koberoski’s seminar will address charitable planning options that can keep farmers from facing significant tax implications, as they move closer to retirement and begin transitioning out of farming.
Charitable trusts and green unitrusts are popular planning tools that establish lifetime income for the donor, while accomplishing capital gain and ordinary income tax avoidance.
Her message will be beneficial for anyone who is interested in charitable giving, especially individuals who are approaching retirement or are in retirement, financial planners, insurance professionals and CPAs.
Margaret Koberoski is a partner in the Kakeldey and Koberoski Law Firm in Mankato. The firm specializes in business and estate planning. Her areas of expertise include: Real Estate, Estate Planning, Business Planning and Long Term Care Planning.
