Need help stretching your food budget this summer? Second Harvest Heartland and the Watonwan County Food Shelf will hold another summer distribution of rescue produce and bread for Watonwan County residents. During the Aug. 22 distribution 381 individuals in 103 families were given almost 3 ton of produce and bread.
The next distribution will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. or until the items are gone, in the meeting room adjacent to the Watonwan County Food Shelf at 108 So. 8th St. You must bring a box or basket for your items and enter the south door on the east side of the building. Each family will need to register before receiving the items. If you have any questions please call the Food Shelf at 375-2527 and leave a message.
