The eastbound lanes of Highway 60 west of Lake Crystal were closed temporarily due to a serious crash last week, according to State Patrol.
The closure was between Blue Earth County Roads 30 and 32 as traffic was detoured to Blue Earth County Roads 30, 13 and 32.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident which took place Sept. 5. Vehicle one was driven by 53-year-old Belle Plaine resident Cody Thomas. Vehicle two was driven by 25-year-old Lake Wilson resident Justin Grimmius.
According to the incident report, vehicles one and two were both eastbound on Highway 60 when vehicle two collided with vehicle one, causing vehicle one to roll into the median. Lake Crystal Ambulance and Fire assisted MN State Patrol, Lake Crystal Police and Blue Earth Sheriff’s Department on scene.
Thomas received serious injuries in the accident, while Grimmius sustained no apparent injury.
