Lewisville Legion Auxiliary met Sept. 3, 2013. There were eight members present. President Linda Carlson opened the meeting and the group sang one verse of Star Spangled Banner.
The secretary's report was read and approved along with the treasurers' report. Correspondence was read by the group of eight.
The Fun Daze bake sale sold out of food and Fun Daze bingo was a success. The Lewisville Legion Auxiliary received thank you letters from the girls who went to Girl’s State. They will come in at a later date to give a report of their time spent at Girl’s State.
Chicken suppers will start Sept. 15. The price for the supper has increased to $9 for adults. Membership supper will be Sept. 19. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with a meal following at 6:30 p.m. The meal will be catered by Truman cafe.
At the meeting the Lewisville Legion asked if the auxiliary would like to help pay for a small PA system. Dorene Seeman motioned and Sue Stedtfeld seconded to pay for half of a small PA system.
Closing ceremonies were held following the new business.
