The new homecoming royalty have been named at Butterfield-Odin School.
Out of the nine candidates for king and queen, Austin Friedrich and Monica Munning were selected as royalty for Butterfield-Odin.
The new king and queen will represent the school at this week's homecoming football game as the Saints celebrate homecoming week.
The homecoming coronation was a fun-filled event, providing entertainment for all students K-12 at Butterfield-Odin as well as many community members.
The new music instructor, Caley Danielson led the choir in their first performance of the year before the coronation took place.
Student-athletes were introduced by Athletic Director Les Zellmann and a speech was given by Steve Fligge, the assistant coach of the cross country team, who urged students and community members to join the cross country team at this week's home event.
After a few games thrown by the student council, the names of the king and queen were revealed with only a small amount of teasing the audience – holding crowns over all of the candidates heads.
Band Director David Stordalen then led the school in the singing of the school song.
The students will celebrate homecoming with a dance Friday night following the football game.
