The St. James Salutators presented a plaque to the owners of The Depot, a new store in St. James, last Friday afternoon.
The Depot is located in downtown St. James, where the old Duebers store was once located. It is filled with antique furniture, dishware and other unique items.
The Depot sells goods that are donated and refurbished, along with consignment items. There are plans in the future to have a front section designated for sewing supplies upon request. Anyone interested in getting certain fabric or supplies in the store just has to ask!
Their grand opening was also held last Friday afternoon, with plenty of people from the community filtering in and out, and items moving quickly off the shelves. A soft opening for business owners was held last Thursday night, where tacos were served for guests.
Residents are invited to stop by and have a look at the new store. There have been plenty of changes since Duebers once filled the space and there are dozens of antiques and other interesting items for sale.
