  • Ervin Heine was called to his eternal rest on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to the services at the Church on Thursday. A Celebration of Life Services for Ervin  A.  Heine, 93, of St. James, Minnesota  will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ormsby, with Pastor Brian Thorson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in St. James. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com.
    Ervin Arthur Heine was born on September 26, 1920 to Martin and Mathilda (Krause) Heine in Fergus Falls. Ervin received his education up to the eighth grade in South Branch. On March 19, 1944, Ervin was united in marriage to Viola Jablinski at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in St. James. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Cedar Township, Martin County, until retiring into Ormsby in 1979. They moved to St. James in 1998. Viola died on September 11, 2007. Ervin was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ormsby where he held various church offices. Ervin served on the Ormsby Elevator Board for 18 years. He greatly enjoyed playing golf, reading, watching sporting events visiting with family and friends. He was an avid Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings fan.          
    Ervin is survived by his son, Bruce (Debbie) Heine, Debbie, of Palatine, Ill.; granddaughter, Heather (Rick) Rasmussen, of Fox River Grove, Ill.; great-grandson, Tyler Rasmussen; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
    Ervin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viola Heine; sisters, Regina (Harry) Johnson, Ruth (Gaylord) Reese; and  other relatives.
