Mark Hennis, age 65, of St. James, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with Rev. Lowell Asplund officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Darfur. Mark Lyle Hennis was born September 19, 1948, the son of Lyle and Joan (McCabe) Hennis. Mark grew up in the Madelia area where he attended school graduating from Madelia High School. Mark worked at S-T Industries until he retired, he also worked part-time at the St. James Liquor Store for several years. Mark enjoyed star gazing, gardening, fishing and motorcycle riding. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, other family members and friends.
Marks is survived by his children, Heather Englin, Kris Neuenfeldt, all of St. James, Tom (Denise) Hennis of Fairmont; grandchildren, Bryant, Bryce, Robyn, Skyler, Daisy and Ella; siblings, Roger (Bonnie) Hennis of Madelia, Larry Hennis of St. Peter, Lila Smith of Jackson, Mary (Larry) Sirek of Moorhead and Joann (Charles) Haycraft of St. James.
He was preceded in death by his parents and companion Kerry Larson.
