Winning his court case against his accused stalker apparently didn't putAlec Baldwin in too great of a mood. Only a few hours later, when a paparazzo approached the actor's family, Baldwin allegedly called him a "c---sucking f--."
TMZ posted a video of the incident, after which Baldwin took to Twitter claiming that he actually called the photographer a "fathead." "If @TMZ asserts that I used an anti-gay epithet, I will sue them," Baldwin said in now-deleted tweets, according to Huffington Post. "Acoustic analysis proves the word is fathead. Fathead."
Surprising celebrity family ties
"Anti-gay slurs are wrong. They not only offend, but threaten hard fought tolerance of LGBT rights," he continued. "I'm grateful to all of the ppl I meet + hear from who recognize that I would never say something to offend my friends in the gay community."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, GLAAD rep Rich Ferraro noted that "c---sucker" also falls under the category of an anti-gay slur, prompting the actor to apologize and to promise to retire that word from his vocabulary.
"Mr. Baldwin can't lend his support for equality on paper, while degrading gay people in practice," Ferraro said in a statement. "It's clearly time he listens to the calls from so many LGBT people and allies to end this pattern of anti-gay slurs."
Alec Baldwin apologizes for using gay slurs in Twitter rant against a reporter
This is not the first time Baldwin has used homophobic language. The actor has used anti-gay epithets in incidents in 1992, 2011, 2012 and again in June, when he unleashed a series of tweets against a Daily Mail writer that included such phrases as "you toxic little queen."
