Marian Hall in St. James was the site of a Winter Carnival Saturday, where numerous businesses selling everything from crafts to clothes joined together to offer a one-stop-shopping experience a couple weeks before Christmas. This was the first time for this event, but organizers hope to make it an annual tradition. “We enjoy doing this, and we try to get all local vendors,” said Monica Fischer, one of the women responsible for putting the event together. “It was good to have a variety of things.” Admission was free, as were the provided refreshments. Purveyors included the likes of Avon, Home Spun, Lia Sophia, and Pampered Chef.
