The St. James Area Saints boy's basketball team--perhaps still dwelling on Friday's heart-breaking, hardfought, and controversial 67-65 overtime loss to state-ranked Fairmont--struggled mightily to dispatch a Windom Area team that entered the game with a 3-8 record. The Saints fell behind 13-4 early, 25-16 midway through the first half, and were down 37-33 at halftime. St. James was unable to pull away from the Eagles until the final 80 seconds, when they used trips to the foul line to salt the game away. “We were not very good tonight,” said head coach Steve Walker. “We had so many unforced turnovers that we need to clean up, and we made bad decisions with the ball in the half-court.” For the rest of the story, please see tomorrow's print edition of the St. James Plaindealer.
