St. James native Paige Harris--an alumna of St. James High School--has returned to the area to give a presentation at the Watonwan County Library tonight.
Harris, a junior at Iowa State University, will discuss her time in Italy, where she studied in the fall of 2013. I.S.U.'s Design School has a college in Rome, and Harris, an interior design major, said the chance to study in Rome was one of the primary factors that drew her to Ames.
“I.S.U. is great for my program, and I heard about this when I visited campus,” she said. “Everybody knows about (the chance to study in Italy); it's a big deal.”
Though most of her time was spent in Rome, Harris also traveled to the famed Amalfi coast, Tuscany, Florence, Milan, and Venice. During her talk Thursday, she'll share photos and insights from her time in Italy.
