The St. James Armory will host a National Micro-Mini Tractor Pullers Association pull this Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend. Pulls last about three hours, and the Saturday pull begins at 1 p.m., while the Sunday pull starts at 9 a.m. Ed Connell, who moved to St. James in 1952 and still lives on a farm four miles south of town, is leading the pull, and he highly recommends people bring ear protection if they're planning on attending. “These motors turn out 25,000-30,000 rpm's,” he said. “It's louder than a chainsaw.” For the rest of this story, please see Thursday's print edition of the St. James Plaindealer.
