It was a battle of the Saints Friday night as the SJA Saints took on the St. Peter Saints at the St. James High School.

St. Peter came out strong hitting a three-pointer and grabbing a steal from SJA to get a two-point bucket, taking a five-zero lead just minutes into the game. Brandts got things rolling for SJA hitting a baseline jumper to start off their offense.

Towards the end of the first half SJA's Julia Beckius went out with an injury and didn't return for the remainder of the game. The Saints were down by eleven at the half with a score of 34-21.

"Julia (Beckius) had some torn ligaments in her hand," said Head Coach Adam Schroeder. "She will be okay and will be playing in our game against Mountain Lake Area."

Leading the scoring for the Saints was Allison Brandts who had eleven. Aubrey Eckstrom followed with eight, Bailey Trickel had six, Emily Bottem had four, Amelia Collier grabbed three and Kimberly Carreon had two.
