Following a home loss to conference leader Waseca February 3, the St. James Area Saints remained home Thursday to battle Martin County West, and they got back on the winning track with a 72-53 victory over the Mavericks. The Saints trailed by as many as 13 in the first half, but they closed within two on a buzzer-beating three from John Olsen. In the second half, more judicious shot selection and more attentive defense allowed St. James to pull away for the 19-point win. They won't get any rest, however, as they play again Friday night at Fairmont. For the rest of this story, please see the February 13 print edition of the St. James Plaindealer.
