A study hailed as "staggering" published today in the journal Brain details how four paralyzed men have been able to regain control of their lower limbs. Doctors sent an electrical current through the spines of the patients, and the men were able to lift their legs, support their own weight and more. However, when the current is turned off, not all those abilities were still there, but the men still regained control of their bladders and bowels even when the current wasn't on.
University of Connecticut fans are celebrating today after the Huskies beat the Kentucky Wildcats 60-54 to claim the NCAA championship. It was a huge win for the school, which won only one year after being banned from the tournament.
